Wuzhou artificial gemstones: define the material before comparing suppliers

Wuzhou has documented artificial-gemstone industry and trade activity. The Gems & Jewelry Trade Association of China reports on the 2025 Wuzhou gemstone festival and its industry matching events. The Guangxi branch of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange separately records a gemstone-jewellery cross-border e-commerce event in Wuzhou. These sources establish regional activity; they do not verify an individual supplier, its stock or its production capability.

Begin an enquiry with a precise material name rather than the broad label “synthetic gemstone”. Ask the supplier to identify whether the offer concerns cubic zirconia, synthetic corundum, silicon carbide or another material. Similar appearance does not establish material identity. If a report is required, agree what must be tested and which sample or batch the report will describe. Translate a seller’s commercial grade into observable acceptance criteria.

Separate loose stones, matched sets and finished jewellery

  • Loose stones: specify the material, cut, calibrated dimensions, tolerance, colour reference, packing quantity and total quantity. Include thickness or depth when it affects fitting.
  • Matched sets: list the sizes and quantities used in each design. State whether colour and cutting must match within a set, and retain the specification revision for repeat orders.
  • Finished jewellery: add the metal specification, plating, setting method, finished dimensions and packaging. A loose-stone sample cannot confirm the quality of a finished setting.

Make the sample an acceptance reference

Request identifiable physical samples and record their supplier, material, colour and dimensions. Consistent lighting and backgrounds make photographs more useful for communication, but an agreed physical sample is a stronger reference for colour and surface appearance. Round, pear, marquise and custom shapes need separate dimensional requirements. Where stones must fit a setting, check the fit before approving the bulk specification.

A sample review can record chipped edges, scratches, missing corners, polish, colour differences and mixed material. When transparency or internal features matter, define the viewing conditions and acceptable range. Keep the approved sample with the specification rather than relying on an old messaging photograph. Identify which defects would require sorting, replacement or rejection, and agree how the bulk lot will be checked.

Compare quotations on a common basis

Give each supplier the same specification and ask it to identify the pricing unit: a piece, packet, strand or another unit. Separate any sorting, custom cutting, packing, testing and transport charges. MOQ and production timing must refer to the particular material, colour, size combination and quantity being quoted. Conditions for one stock item should not be assumed to apply to a custom assortment.

For mixed sizes, list the quantity of each size and agree bag labels and packing-list identifiers. Material or colour substitutions need the buyer’s approval. Before payment, compare the business identity, payee and order documents, then agree how defects, replenishment and partial shipments will be handled. A regional industry description does not replace these transaction checks.

Build a practical sourcing brief

KuaXunTong can coordinate supplier research, quotations, sample communication, specification confirmation, inspection and consolidation according to the agreed project scope. Send reference images, material and cut, a dimension sheet, quantities by variant, intended use and destination. Service scope, fees and delivery arrangements are confirmed for the project; this page does not offer a universal MOQ, guaranteed stock or a fixed transit time.

Prepare shipping and declaration information around the actual material and whether the shipment contains loose stones, mounted stones or finished jewellery. Metal components, children’s products or destination-specific labelling can require additional checks. Supporting documents should describe the actual product and batch, rather than being inferred from a supplier’s location.

Purchasing considerations

Kumpirmahin ang mga detalye, sample, kakayahan ng supplier, pamantayan sa inspeksyon at mga kinakailangan sa patutunguhan-market bago mag-order.

Regional evidence and sources

The trade association’s report is dated 19 December 2025. A separate SAFE Guangxi report dated 24 December 2025 records a Wuzhou gemstone-jewellery cross-border e-commerce event. The sourcing and inspection suggestions on this page are editorial guidance, not supplier endorsements or delivery commitments by those organisations.
